A Rich Archipelago

The Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands and is one of the largest archipelago in the world extending 1,152 mi from north to south and 688 mi from east to west fenced by the Philippine sea on the east, Celebes sea on the south and South China sea on the western part producing an extensive coastline (longest discontinous in the world) with approximately 2000 species of fish.
The islands are located in the Pacific “Ring of Fire” traversing massive amount of mountain ranges with Mt. Apo being the highest at a peak of 9,690 ft. Navigable rivers, narrow coastal plains, wide valleys, volcanoes, forests and springs comprises different islands. The most notable ones are Mount Mayon (the volcano with a perfect cone), Taal Volcano (smallest volcano in the world), Sierra Madre mountains, Pagsanjan Falls, Pulangi River, Manila and Laguna Bay, Chocolate Hills, Boracay (this is paradise) and more….
