I have made a quick round up earlier of what I think is the top reasons why one should visit Paradise Philippines. Here’s what came in my list:

Pinoy Food:

• Sinigang - often incorporates stewed fish, pork, chicken, shrimp, or beef and is usually prepared with tamarind, tomato, leek, taro and onion. Other vegetables cooked in sinigang may include okra, spinach, radish, green pepper and string beans.
• Adobo - typically made from pork or chicken or a combination of both. It is slow-cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, crushed garlic, bay leaf, and black peppercorns, and often browned in the oven or pan-fried afterwards to get the desirable crisped edges.
• Halo-halo - a mixture of shaved ice and milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served cold in a tall glass or bowl.
• Lechon - a whole roasted pig, lechón baboy
• Sisig - method of preparing fish and meat, especially pork, which is marinated in a sour liquid such as lemon juice or vinegar, then seasoned with salt, pepper and other spices.

• Siargao - a good surfing destination
• Subic - rows of beach resorts
• Zamboanga - city of flowers
• Manila - Paradise Philippines capital
• Davao - Home of Mount Apo
• Cagayan de Oro - whitewater rafting
• Cebu - Magellan’s cross
• Vigan - best preserved spanish colonial town in Asia
• Palawan - Lots of beach resorts and wildlife resources
• Baguio - summer capital of Paradise Philippines

• Masskara Festival of Bacolod
• Santacruzan every May in different parts of Paradise Philippines
• Sinulog Festival of Cebu
• Moriones Festival of Marinduque
• Pahiyas of Quezon Province
• Higantes of Angono
• Dinagyang of Iloilo
• Ati-atihan of Kalibo, Aklan

The list doesn’t name all the best destinations in Paradise Philippines. It’s just a quick round-up of what came into my mind first while writing this article. There’s a lot more reasons to visit Paradise Philippines and we’ll be featuring them one by one in our next posts.
