<description>It is only a matter of time before Jaro becomes another Brgy Guinsaugon of St. Bernard in Southern Leyte. That barangay was buried under feet of earth when a mudslide struck during that fateful one night which I could not anymore remember. Good Jaronians, your concerted actions are very much needed before it is too late!

As you already knew, Jaro is situated in the eastern base of Mount Kankahanay where fresh waters from the mountain ranges flow slicing our town. When trees that support the soil are gone and when heavy and continuous rains come, it is not remote that Jaro will suffer the same fate as that of Brgy Guinsaugon.

The best way to deal with this problem is to bring the issue to the concerned government officials, the media and the non-government organizations advocating protection of the environment. Above all, the solution to this problem relies much on the good sons and daughters of Jaro.

Thanks and we are in dire need of your 1 cent share to the solution on the problem.
