I am aware that when talking about eating bulalo in Tagaytay, the first thing that will come to your mind is the famous Leslie’s Bulalo House but earlier, me and my family gave another restaurant a try and it’s called – Green ATS Bulalohan. Green ATS Bulalohan is along Tagaytay-Nasugbu Hi-way, you have to pass-by the famous Bags of Beans. Just like Leslie’s, their restaurant is also visited by many, proof is that we have to wait for others to leave before we get our seat. Burot beach is a paradise hiding in the municipality of Calatagan, Batangas. It is owned by Henry Sy and is said to be developed in the near future so I was lucky enough to experience its beauty before it closes to the public for development. How to go to Burot Beach By private car From Manila, take Coastal road going to Cavite. You can straight ahead to Cavitex or go to Aguinaldo Hiway going to Tagaytay. I suggest Aguinaldo Hiway if you are not familiar with Cavitex. From Tagaytay, go straight to Nasugbu then Lian before reaching Calatagan. While strolling around Robinsons Place Manila, we found this Gumbo restaurant offering a promo that comes with several choices from their menu. The place looks good with its New Orleans theme and the attendants were very polite and assisted us well so I thought of featuring them in here. Me and my wife has been dreaming of visiting Zark’s Burgers – the restaurant along Taft Avenue fronting De La Salle university that is known for their huge burgers at affordable prices and today, we ended that dream as we went out just to visit the place. The exact address is 2nd floor Archer’s nook bldg, just above Yellow Cab restaurant. The place is not huge and parking is difficult, there’s 3 or 4 slots but the guard says that those are reserved for the tenants of the building where Zarks is located. One good thing is that today is Saturday so the place is not full as according to one staff I was talking to, during school days, they’re always full of students from nearby schools.
It’s November 3 and as part of the long weekend due to All Souls day and All Saints Day, Me and my wife brought the kids to Tutuban shopping mall for some toy bargain hunt. While taking the escalator, I saw this ad about their Virtual Zoo at the 4th floor of Tutuban Centermall extension, just above the foodcourt. It’s the former location of the Silver Screen cinemas. The admission is free so we went ahead immediately. We were amazed with the larger-than-life 3D photos of interesting and popular animals that kids will surely enjoy.
