After attending mass in Antipolo church last Easter Sunday,we then went to the Manila Ocean Park, the newest tourist destination in the Philippines located at the back of Quirino Grandstand in Luneta Park, Manila.
Entrance fee costs Php400.00 for adults and Php350.00 for children below 4 1/2 ft in height. Manila residents are given 10% discounts so am lucky to have my voters id with me.
The place is so beautiful. You will first enter into the rainforest area wherein you’ll see fishes in aquariums, starfishes and crocodiles. Then in the Bahura, you will see more fishes like small stingrays, seahorses, stonefish, and more that I can’t remember their names.
A near 30-minute drive brought us to Antipolo church Easter Sunday morning. We arrived exactly at the time of Salubong – a Filipino Easter Sunday tradition which celebrates the first meeting of resurected Jesus and his beloved Mother. We have parked exactly near the location of the Salubong reenactment.
After the reenactment, we started walking towards the church following such a huge number of people who attended the mass after.
Weather is too hot – sign that it is summer time! And summer means swimming!!!
Yesterday, we went to Pansol, Laguna – the swimming pool capital of the Philippines. We had a hard time looking for a private pool as most of them were already occupied so we went to Luisa Ridge (formerly Bato-bato), a public pool in Pansol, Laguna but really a good one.
It was my mom’s birthday last weekend and we brought her to Tagaytay as she has never been there before the entire 60 years of her life.
We arrived lunch there, ate at Leslies Restaurant which is one of the most famous eating place in Tagaytay, with Bulalo as their specialty. Leslies Restaurant is a good place to stop over with their beautiful overlooking of the Taal Lake and Volcano in the back.
From Leslies, we went to the Peoples park where my little kid went on horse-back riding. We also went watching people do the zip line and the ones in the cable car.
Hundreds of Sto. Niño made a parade from Buendia cor. Roxas Boulevard to the CCP grounds yesterday. Sto. Niño is a Catholic depiction of the child Jesus. People from different places gathered and brought their own statues of Sto. Niño. There are Sto. Niño dressed as knights, riding in jeepney, dressed as a navy and a lot more. It was like a street party as people danced their way during the parade while holding their Sto. Niños. I was lucky that my house is just along the area so I went out together with my little kid and my wife to watch it. I took my camera and went for some picture taking.
